Eramelisse de Castro

Session Leader

Eramelisse de Castro is a Behavioral Health Education Instructor who specializes in teaching
mental health topics, facilitating support groups, and hosting a variety of workshops focused on
behavioral health. She has more than a decade of experience across a variety of settings
including government/public sector, nonprofit organizations, health and hospital system, and
private organizations. Currently, she works for a non-profit hospital and also works as a private
consultant.
Eramelisse is a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor (for Adult, Youth, and Law
Enforcement/Public Safety), certified Question Persuade Refer Suicide Prevention Instructor,
and an Advance Level Wellness Recovery Action Plan Facilitator. She has provided numerous
presentations, trainings, and workshops to over 3000 people (and still counting) throughout her
career. Eramelisse holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from National University
with a focus on Organizational Leadership, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from
University of Phoenix.
In addition to Eramelisse’s educational and professional background and experience, she also
identifies as someone who has lived experience. Through her own journey to wellness and
recovery, she can see mental health challenges from a consumer/client perspective in addition to
a provider perspective. Eramelisse is most passionate in the education, prevention, and early
intervention aspect of mental health. She continues to be driven by her desire to live, love, and
laugh.
